About HIP

The Ashland Housing Improvement Program (HIP) is run through the city to help repair and improve homes in Ashland. Some examples of past projects have been exterior painting, repairing stairs, demolishing failing structures, and other small exterior improvements.

To qualify for the program, you must be located in the City of Ashland, be a single family home, be owner occupied (no rentals), and have property taxes up to date. This is a grant program with no income qualifications and does not have to be repaid. Depending on the cost of the project, the applicant may have to help with payment.
