ATVs and UTVs Within City Limits

Ashland City Ordinance Chapter 507 governs the use of All-Terrain Vehicles (ATVs) and Utility-Terrain Vehicles (UTV's) within the City Limits of Ashland.

All operators are required to possess a valid Drivers License.

Operators of ATVs and UTVs are responsible for understanding the ordinances regulating the use of those vehicles within City Limits.

ATV and UTV traffic should be limited to the streets highlighted on the image below. Operators are permitted to operate off these routes only to access a designated route or a final destination.

No motorized traffic shall use the 5th Street Corridor or the Lake Front Trail, except by snowmobiles on designated snowmobile routes during their operating season. The exception to this is the bridge crossing Bay City Creek from Stuntz Ave/6th St E to 11th Ave E.

No ATVs or UTVs are allowed to operate on Federal, State, and County Highways. This includes Highway 2 (Lake Shore Dr), Highway 13 (Ellis Ave), Highway 112 (Sanborn Ave) or County Highway A.
