Bretting Center Rentals 

The Bretting Center is available to rent for parties, celebrations, non-profit events, craft fairs, and more! 

Party rentals are typically available on Saturdays starting at 10 AM.  Rentals are $50 for the first hour and $30 for each additional hour. Minimum 2 hour rental time required. Each rental includes a 30 minute set-up time (before the rental officially begins) and a 20 minute cleanup time afterwards, this is dependent on scheduling for the day as well and subject to change. Rentals include use of the BCC game room (including a small kitchenette, tables and chairs, kids indoor playground, air-hockey table, pool table, and ping pong table), as well as the gym area. Party add-on's also include use of the Bounce House (5 child maximum) and Climbing Wall for $25/each, or $40, together.

Weekday rentals are occasionally available for special events (not parties) or for non-profit organizations on a case-by-case basis. Please contact APR staff at 715-682-7059 to inquire about availability. 

Pavilion and Gazebo Rentals 

The City of Ashland maintains and operates many pavilions throughout the city. They're available to rent from May 15th-Oct. 15th! A rental will confirm that you have use of the pavilion for your requested times. Read on to learn more about our different pavilion options! Pavilion reservations for 2025 will open on February 19th.

To book online, click here to visit CivicRec, login or create an account, and click on the "Facility Rentals" tab on the catalog page (homepage). Then, click on the Park/Pavilion you're interested in renting, click on the date(s) and time(s) you're interested in, specify any add-ons (if applicable!) and you will receive an email notification with a confirmation or denial of rental within 48 hours. If rental is denied, we will reach out to you with different times/availability. 

To book over the phone, call APR staff at 715-682-7059 to book now! If no answer, please leave a detailed voice message with your name, date(s) and time(s) of interest, and a callback number. The APR office is open between 9-4:30 M-F. NOTE - Reservations for 2025 will open on February 19th, any pavilion rental requested prior to this time will not be honored. 

Prentice Park

 is a 99 acre park with 1.5 miles of ADA compliant trails, 1 mile of primitive walking trails, 9 tent camping sites, 6 new RV sites, 2 pavilions, artesian wells, a large green space, wildlife viewing, fishing access, and a playground.

Prentice Park -- Large Pavilion

The Large Prentice Park Pavilion includes 10-12 large picnic tables, a grilling area, bathrooms, ADA accessible seating, artesian water pump, access to the nearby playground, and for an additional $10 fee access to the concessions building with a refrigeration and serving area. 

Prentice Park -- Small Pavilion

The Small Pavilion includes 4-5 large picnic tables, a grilling area, bathrooms nearby, artesian water pump, and access to the playground and green space. 

Maslowski Beach Pavilion

The Maslowski Beach Pavilion has 9 large picnic tables, a grilling area, public restrooms, nearby artesian water access, sand volley, and great beach access! 

6th Avenue Beach Pavilion 

Rental Cost: $35/day                                                                             Address: 110 6th Ave West Ashland, WI 54806 

is connected to Pearson Plaza! A beautiful underpass decorated in mosaic's of local flora and fauna line the underpass. The underpass provides safe and easy access from downtown historic Ashland to Lake Superior and the Waterfront Trail. Located by historic Ashland City Hall.

Pavilion features 2 picnic tables, access to public bathrooms, water fountains, and beach access. 

H. Pearson Plaza

This Plaza, located right off the heart off downtown, has access to 8 large picnic table, benches, a large green space, a grilling area, public restrooms, water fountains, and beach access via the 6th Ave. Beach Pavilion. 

Otis Park

This charming park is a paved alley space at Main St. West, located adjacent to Market on Main and leading to Pearson Plaza. 

Bayview Park Pavilion

This pavilion has 8 large picnic tables, a grilling area, public restrooms, beach access, and a dock. 

City Dock at Bayview Park 

Rental Cost: $25/day                                                                               Address: 1909 Lake Shore Drive E Ashland, WI 54806 

The dock has a seating area, public restrooms, beach access, and overlooks Lake Superior. 

Central Railyard Park Open Air Pavilion

CRYP is located at the heart of Ashland behind the Bretting Community Center (and APR offices!) at 400 4th Avenue West, Ashland WI, 54806 and boasts an impressive collection of recreation options!  Come use the two baseball fields, tennis courts, playground (also known as the Purple Park!), concessions building, skate park, tennis court, as well as the ARTS* trail! 

This pavilion accommodates up to 8 picnic tables, is close to the ballfields, bathrooms, tennis courts, and playgrounds. 

Central Railyard Park Concessions Building

CRYP is located at the heart of Ashland behind the Bretting Community Center (and APR offices!) at 400 4th Avenue West, Ashland WI, 54806 and boasts an impressive collection of recreation options!  Come use the two baseball fields, tennis courts, playground (also known as the Purple Park!), concessions building, skate park, tennis court, as well as the ARTS* trail! 

This is a small enclosed pavilion with a kitchen/serving area and indoor restrooms. It is close to the ball fields, tennis courts, and playgrounds in the Central Railyard Park. 

Memorial Park Mesang Bandshell

The Bandshell has rows of bench-style seating and features a large Bandshell stage! Right next to Lake Superior. 

Marina Gazebo (at Kreher Park)

Features a boat launch, ARTS trail access, sump station, pavilion, playground and beach all available to the public. Gazebo is on the Marina and overlooks the lake! 

Kreher Gazebo

Features a boat launch, ARTS trail access, sump station, pavilion, playground and beach all available to the public. Gazebo overlooks the lake! 

Kreher Park Pavilion

This pavilion has 9 large picnic tables, a grilling area, access to public restrooms, a boat launch, ARTS trail access, sump station, pavilion, playground and beach. 

Oredock

Rental Cost: $50/day                                                                                      Address: 200 Prentice Ave N Ashland, WI 54806

This unique park is the base of the historic Soo Line Oredock, extending 1800' (almost 1/4 mile) out into Lake Superior. Here you can imagine ore boats tied up awaiting a shipment of coal from a superstructure 80' tall. ADA complaint, accessible via the ARTS trail. Open to fishing and bird watching!
